5/5/2020 Spartan Total Warrior Walkthrough
IntroductionSpartan: Total Warrior speaks to the inner badass lurking in all of us; that hardcore, relentless killing machine pining to rip through wave after wave of Nazis, alien invaders or whatever the case may be. Total Warrior makes a valiant effort to give us the tools and abilities to live that fantasy, if only for a while and if only while sitting in our living room. It recognizes we, as gamers, just need to kill things sometimes.
Spartan: Total Warrior engulfs the player into the midst of titanic clashes between mighty armies, blending mythical beasts and legendary monsters into the fray.
And if we can kill things and look cool while doing it, that's even better. On top of that, if we can butcher people while looking cool and even feel noble about it, well, that's just divine. With more than 150 warriors on-screen at once, you can pretty well guess that things get hectic. That's why we turned to the boys at SEGA to guide us through the adventure. Whether you're stumped by a level's challenge or can't figure out how to beat one of the many brutal bosses, these strategies—straight from SEGA—should provide all the help you need.Without further ado.
I: The Storm Breaks Ignore the smaller Roman warriors at the beginning of this battle, instead focusing solely on the three Centurions (the larger enemies with the arrows above their heads). Use the shield bash move to knock them back, and then attack them as they recover. If you find you're being swarmed by Romans, use your sweep move to clear the area and refocus on the Centurions. Don't waste any more effort on the regular soldiers, as they'll continue to attack in waves if you do.To protect the Sappers (Spartans carrying bombs) run in front of them and knock back any Romans that attack.
When the Sapper drops his bomb, smack it to light the fuse, and then get out of there. If a Sapper starts screaming during your run, get away from him quickly, as he is about to explode.
Should you lose a Sapper, don't worry. They continue to respawn from their original location until the objective has been completed.Clear out the next area of Romans in order to advance in the level. There's no real trick here.
Just use your sweep attack to keep from being swarmed, and otherwise cleave your way through the masses. Now you have two objectives - Protect King Leonidas and protect the gate. Concentrate on protecting the gate, as the King can mostly take care of himself. As your Spartan comrades fall, more will appear. Periodically pull the lever near the gate to allow Spartan reinforcements to join the fight.Though King Leonidas is pretty tough, he's not invincible.
Watch his power bar closely. If he starts to take a lot of damage, release a few more Spartans into the area, then run over to him and fight off the attacking Romans. The objective will be complete after about three minutes of this.
Boss: TalosDefeating Talos is a twofold operation. Protect the cauldron of burning oil from the Romans until it's ready to go. The second you hear your comrades say it's ready, pull the lever and let loose on the Romans attacking the walls.
